Early Playing Career

Played with the St. George Cricket Club during the period from 1975 to 1986

Dave played 170 matches for St. George CC from 1^st Grade to 4^th.Grade, 10 of those being 1^st Grade matches.

Captain from 2nd grade to 4^th.Grades over that period of time.

Dave was an Official of the St. George Cricket Club for 5 years.

Coaching Representative & Junior Teams in Illawarra

Dave was Manager & Assistant Coach from U/12 to U/16 from 2002 to 2006 period.

Coach Junior Teams from Corrimal Cricket Club from 2002 to 2006 period.

Dave Cullen was part of the Cricket Illawarra Junor Sub-committee from 2022 to 2006 period.

 Local Umpires examination passed in 2005

NSWCUSA  umpires examination passed 2006

Achieved Level 2 Accreditation in 2015/2016 Season.

Life Member of ICUA 2017 /2018

Member of ICUA for 20years

Member of the ICUA Technical Committee for the past 8 years.

Dave has been responsible for creating  umpires working documents over this period of time which are now in the Cricket Illawarra General playing Conditions.

Dave achieved the 350 Milestone for matches officiated in Illawarra 

NSW Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association

Selected for the  NSW Country Panel 2014/2015 Season and remains on that Panel.

Umpired intermittently in  the Sydney Premier Competition 1^st Grade every year since 2014  

Umpired many NSW Country Senior Carnivals including two finals over this period of time through-out the State.

Cricket Australia appointment to the Australian Country Championship Womens T20 in Illawarra 2017.

Appointment by Cricket Australia to umpire U/16 Australia v Pakistan in 2014/2015 Season.

Dave has also umpire in the CHS School matches in 2016/2017 & 2017/2018 Seasons

Awarded  the Wal Smith Umpire of the year  trophy 2016/2017, 2019/2020, 2022/2023 and 2023/2024

Appointed to the NSWCUSA Examination Committee for the last 3 seasons.

Member of the statewide Umpire Training Team

Dave was made a Principal Member of NSWCUSA  in 2023.

NSW Affiliated Association Ted Wykes Medal winner 2019/2020,

NSW Country Umpire of the Year Kevin Pye Medal 2022/2023 Season.
